Drumfit is about to be our family's newest fave way to #stayfitathome!! Today it was #homeschoolgymclass for Ro and Kai. It was their first time trying it out and they loved it! We used the @drumfit.schools videos to follow along for a full body cardio workout set to music with a whole lotta drumming. Then the kids freestyled it for a while to some of their fave songs and even nursery rhymes. They were digging it. It kept them occupied and engaged and active for a lot longer than most activities. This is going to be a staple in our #homeschooling lives. Have you tried any DrumFit classes? Another quarantine bright side: having John home to do all the little home projects we have been too busy for!! He and a cute little helper finally got the side hallway painted (we bought the paint in 2018!!🤦🏾‍♀️) #judgemeifyawanna I have a growing list of home projects but have to figure out the ones that don't require us to go out for supplies. Looking for the silver linings of this whole #coronavirus debacle has helped me make it through with less anxiety attacks. A reminder that you can exhale and not wait for the next shoe to drop. You are safe despite this crazy time we have been called to live through. You are taking the right precautions and doing what you can. Let the universe (God, source, the one, all that is, the creator, Allah, etc) do the rest. The unseen is handled for you. Relax. Take a deep breath. Relax your shoulders. Roll your neck. Relax your jaw and your tongue. Breathe deeply and allow in feelings of safety, and peace, comfort and protection. Let your worries out into a journal to release that energy from your body, alternatively you can do some form of movement to shift the energy, even if it's just stretching or jogging in place for a minute. This card is a reminder 1. That you are mothered on many levels both seen and unseen so hold tight to that faith, and 2. That you can and should mother yourself in this time especially. Treat yourself as you would a small child in need of extra love, care and attention. What will you give the small child living within you? Comfort her. Let her know how much she is loved. The faces this kid makes crack me up! He was telling us a scary story and really started to get into the characters. The quarantine quality time has us doing a lot more activities as a family of four. From taking turns storytelling, to drawing contests to good ol fashioned puzzles. (I LOVE puzzles!) And more.
