Now, in this part 3, we will continue with new Instagram Tags, Stickers, and each how-to step. And here are the latest Instagram updates and features you need to know.

Enhanced Tag Feature

The Enhanced Tag feature on Instagram Reels helps you to get or give proper creative credit and recognition. With enhanced tags, you can tag your creative partner on a post or on a Reel that appears on Feed or Reels on Instagram. You can also assign their profile category, such as photographer, cinematographer, or influencer, on their professional accounts to be displayed in their People Tag. This feature lets people understand your or your creative partner’s contribution to a photo, video, or Reel with the Tag.

Here’s how to use enhanced tags on Instagram Reels:

  1. Tap the “+” at the top-right of your Instagram page.
  2. Create a new Post and tap “Next”.
  3. Make any edit or trim then tap “Next”.
  4. Write a caption and tap “Tag People”.
  5. Tap “Add Tag” and your contributors' accounts.
  6. Tap “Show Profile Category” to display the creator category.
  7. Tap “Done”.
  8. Once the additional tags and details are added, tap “Share”. 

Product Tagging for Instagram Shop

Product tagging is a feature that allows users to buy products directly on Instagram. It lets people shop on Instagram conveniently without ever leaving the platform. Brands can tag the products shown on their post and allow people to find additional information about the product. When people click on the product tag, it provides them with the price and description.

Product tagging will also give the option to buy the product directly on the platform and complete their purchase on the brand website. This feature created a seamless shopping experience and shortened the customer journey. It is beneficial to improve the conversion potential that can direct customers from the discovery stage to the conversion stage.

Before adding product tags on your Instagram post, make sure you have Instagram Shopping set up. Here are the steps to get started with Instagram Product Tagging:

  1. Tap “+” at the top-right of your Instagram page.
  2. Create a new post, choose your product's photo or video, and tap “Next”.
  3. Edit and add filters, then tap “Next”.
  4. Write a caption then tap “Tag Products”.
  5. Tap on the product in the photo or video that you want to tag.
  6. Use the search box to look for the product you want to tag and select it.
  7. Once the Product Tags and other details are added tap “Share”.

How to add Product Tag in Stories

  1. Tap “+” at the top-right of your Instagram page.
  2. Create a new Instagram Story and select your product photo or video.
  3. Tap the sticker icon and select the Product link sticker.
  4. Tap the product you want to tag in your Story.
  5. Tap “Your Story” to publish it.

How to add Product Tag in Reels

  1. Tap “+” at the top-right of your Instagram page.
  2. Create a new Reel, record your video in real-time or choose a video from your phone.
  3. Edit, trim, add filters, and music, and then tap “Tag Products”.
  4. Tap the products or collections you want to feature then tap “Done.”
  5. Once done and your Reel is ready to be published, tap “Share”.

Add Yours’ Sticker

‘Add Yours’ is an interactive sticker that creates chain stories, with huge potential for increasing engagement, supercharging reach, and helping your profile go viral. Whether you create a new one or participate in someone else’s chain, this feature could be your fast-track lane for getting your brand known.

This interactive feature groups together a collection of stories with a theme. You can add your own Story or Stories that are relevant to the prompt when you participate in other people's ‘Add Yours’ stickers. The original sticker is also placed onto your Story for context and allows your friends and followers to interact with the same ‘Add Yours’ sticker to continue the chain. This feature is a great way to start or jump on a trend, thread, and challenge. Here are some steps to create a new view, and join an existing ‘Add Yours’ sticker feature.

Steps to create a new ‘Add Yours’ sticker:

  1. Tap the “+” on the top-right of your Instagram account.
  2. Create a new Story.
  3. Tap the sticker icon and tap “Add Yours”.
  4. Write your idea in the prompt space or tap the “Dice” icon on top of your screen keyboard to choose a random prompt.
  5. Tap and drag the “Add Yours” sticker to move it and place it anywhere you like.
  6. Once done, tap “Your Story” to post it.

Steps to view an ‘Add Yours’ chain:

  1. Find an “Add Yours” sticker on a Story post.
  2. Tap the “Add Yours” sticker.
  3. You will be able to see the profiles that are not private or blocked that have used this “Add Yours” sticker, and the profile that started the chain.
  4. Tap on the first circle in the list that will cycle you through the Stories with this “Add Yours” sticker.

Steps to join an “Add Yours” sticker chain:

  1. Tap the blue “Add Yours” button at the bottom of the sticker.
  2. Create a Story that is relevant to the sticker prompt.
  3. The “Add Yours” sticker will be placed in your Story.
  4. Tap and drag to move the sticker or hold-tap to zoom in or out to resize the sticker after adding your media.
  5. Tap “Your story” to publish it.
  6. Once your Story is published, anyone who can see the post can view and join the ‘Add Yours’ sticker chain.
