Business accounts are growing on TikTok. This is no surprise as TikTok continues to boost its advertising capabilities and social commerce-friendly features. However, it has been known that branded accounts often have more challenges in establishing themselves on TikTok especially since younger audiences are more critical about marketing content. Luckily, the simple way to TikTok users’ hearts is simply engagingly authentic content, and here are few ideas on how you can do so for your TikTok brand.

1. Behind-the-scenes (BTS) Content Creation Process

An important factor in social commerce is always trusted and the best way to earn trust is always through transparency. Showing the creation process of your product to your audience gives them a reassurance that your product has been made with efforts, quality materials, or artistry that match up to the money they will spend. Creating such videos does not require as much of an effort as you might imagine, a simple time-lapse or before-after clips would go a long way for your TikTok audience.

2. Tutorials and How-To’s

Knowing how your product can benefit them or simply knowing how it can be used, will be a great contributing factor to your users' buying decision. Oftentimes, in a sea of products and innovations, consumers find it hard to decide whether your product is worth allocating money to or whether they are ready to try something new that they did not know they needed before. A tutorial gives them context on how your products can be taken advantage of and how they relate to the daily needs of people.

3. Repost or React to a Customers' Reviews

Having your product reviewed or showcased in a post is a huge thing, especially if you are a small business. Reposting or reacting (using the duet feature) to such posts will show your audience that you appreciate them and further, it also creates a sense of inclusion. Aside from this positive gesture, this could be your chance to respond, give further explanation, or answer questions if there are any. In the world of social commerce, this would be the new form of hospitality that otherwise only exists in an offline store.

4. Start Challenges and Create Original Sounds

You might have heard this already, but challenges are the heart of TikTok and the fastest route to virality for brands if done correctly. If you are ready to go bigger with your TikTok presence, start a campaign with challenges. Ensure a doable and entertaining activity for the challenge, in order to get more people to participate.

Alternatively, you can create an original sound without tying it to a particular challenge. TikTok users may not directly interact with you by using your sound, but if it is entertaining enough, they would care to look at your original post in the sound’s page.

5. Join Challenges and use Popular Sounds

To thrive on TikTok often requires brands to behave as regular users would. This means that you shouldn’t be afraid of joining challenges and posting creative videos using themes that are already popular on TikTok. You can also incorporate popular sounds, tracks, or songs into your videos. Showing your products with funny or trendy sounds will give a lighthearted tone to your overall delivery, that will make you more approachable as a brand. These two methods will also help you get discovered more easily on the For You Page.
